A New Chapter for NorCal Quail Country

A North Valley Chapter of Quail Forever formed in Redding last October, covering Shasta, Tehama, Glenn, Butte, and Colusa counties — some of the most productive California quail and chukar habitat in the state.

Volunteers are planning dog-friendly meetups, Learn to Hunt events, and local habitat projects. That last piece matters most. Boots-on-the-ground work in the North Valley has a direct line to birds in the field — every acre of native grass held together is a covey that winters over.

If you hunt that corridor, this is your chapter. Contact president David Krawitz-Greenspan at dgreenspan@wetmeadows.org or Quail Forever regional rep Lauren Stamm at LStamm@quailforever.org.
