The Original Stormy Kromer Cap has a six-panel crown and an earband that pulls down over your ears, in a 22- to 24-ounce wool and nylon blend lined with cotton flannel, according to Stormy Kromer. It comes in sizes from 6½ to 8, in eighths. Stormy Kromer cuts and sews it in the USA and guarantees it for life.
Its caps "traditionally fit snug," Stormy Kromer says, so size up an eighth if you want it looser. It's dry clean only, and Stormy Kromer warns never to put a wool cap in the dryer, because the heat can shrink it.
Blaze Orange is one of the colors. California doesn't require hunter orange for upland birds, but if you want some, this is a way to wear it in wool.
